Last week I was chatting with my physiotherapist when he asked me what I did over the weekend. I enthusiastically declared that I’d been to Tulley's farm for some good ol' pumpkin picking. "Oh, do you have kids?" I laughed, "Uh, nope!” Cue the tomato face... But hey, I'm not alone. It turns out us 25-34-year-olds are the real Halloween fanatics, with a whopping 86% of us gearing up to celebrate in some way this year. And it's turning into an expensive affair, with estimated Halloween spending having quadrupled from 2013 to 2023.

But you know what? I’m all for the spooky season. It's the perfect excuse to bond with friends over hot chocolate and pumpkin picking, unleash my inner artist with some pumpkin carving (see my owl attempt below!), and cozy up for some scary movies. So, no need to feel embarrassed - pumpkin picking is a totally grown-up activity too! 🎃
