About Me

Hi there! I'm Melanie, a passionate and experienced Maths and Statistics teacher and Statistics examiner with over 10 years of expertise in tutoring and education. I'm dedicated to empowering young minds with crucial skills for their future and giving them confidence in maths and statistics.

At age 16 I went around my town delivering leaflets offering 'homework help' for local families and got my first job helping a neighbour with Maths. I remember explaining a concept he'd found difficult in school and the amazing feeling when that lightbulb moment happened and he said "no one has ever explained it that way before". I have always wanted to help people and I have found that through teaching.

I specialise in Statistics tutoring as well as teaching the entire GCSE for those that are not offered it at school. As a qualified teacher and Edexcel examiner, I have an in-depth knowledge of the Statistics curriculum which helps my students achieve top grades. I pair this with context driven, real world examples and discussions which drive an enjoyment of the subject and a statistical proficiency that students take into University and their careers.

I offer online/in person 1:1 or group tutoring in Statistics and I run a unique one year full Statistics GCSE course for ambitious students in Years 9, 10 or 11 who want to further their own education and future prospects.
