I’ve developed targeted workshops to support GCSE Statistics students in areas that go beyond basic topic revision. As both a teacher and examiner, I’ve found that students are often taught topics in isolation and don’t always see how ideas connect across the course. My Statistical Enquiry Cycle workshop addresses this by bringing together concepts from across the specification while building the exam technique needed for longer, analytical questions.
Because any topic can appear on either paper in the Edexcel GCSE Statistics exam, my Paper 2 Targeted Workshop uses data from Paper 1 alongside analysis of past papers and topic frequency. This allows me to design a focused session on the topics most likely to appear on Paper 2 while addressing common exam issues raised by students.
Below you’ll find an overview of recent workshop sessions, including their structure, the topics covered, and the impact they’ve had on students aiming for top grades in Edexcel GCSE Statistics.
